hi folks,
reading a thread in ardour forum ( http://www.ardour.org/node/551), i
just found out, that my harddisk and the cdrom drive is not very well tuned:
murija2:~# hdparm /dev/hda
/dev/hda:
multcount = 16 (on)
IO_support = 0 (default 16-bit)
unmaskirq = 0 (off)
using_dma = 1 (on)
keepsettings = 0 (off)
readonly = 0 (off)
readahead = 256 (on)
geometry = 65535/16/63, sectors = 78140160, start = 0
murija2:~#
----
murija2:~# hdparm /dev/hdc
/dev/hdc:
IO_support = 0 (default 16-bit)
unmaskirq = 0 (off)
using_dma = 1 (on)
keepsettings = 0 (off)
readonly = 0 (off)
readahead = 256 (on)
HDIO_GETGEO failed: Inappropriate ioctl for device
murija2:~#
----
does somebody really knows about this issue?
what should be changed here, to make a well tuning and how than i can
save that, so it is used for every time i start the machine?
thanks in advance and cheers,
